Week 13 ACC & Big 12 Recap: TCU Wins in OT, North Carolina Keeps On Winning

#19 TCU defeated #7 Baylor, 28-21 (2OT)
Trevone Boykin threw an 8-yard touchdown pass to KaVontae Turpin in the second overtime as the Horned Frogs (10-2, 7-2 Big 12) knocked the Bears (10-2, 7-2 Big 12) out of contention for their third straight Big 12 title. Boykin threw for 148 yards and two touchdowns and ran for a one-yard score in the first overtime. Devin Chafin ran for 119 yards and two scores, and caught a four-yard touchdown in the first overtime, but was stopped short on a fourth-and-1 play to end the game.

#14 North Carolina defeated NC State, 45-34
Fueled by a 35-point first quarter, the Tar Heels (11-1, 8-0 ACC) earned their 11th straight victory of the season by defeating the Wolfpack (7-5, 3-5 ACC). Elijah Hood rushed for two touchdowns on his way to a career-high 220-yard day, while T.J. Logan added two more rushing touchdowns and 100 yards.

#13 Florida State defeated #12 Florida, 27-2
A stadium-record crowd of 90,916 watched the Seminoles (10-2, 6-2 ACC) earn its first three-game winning streak in Gainesville and hold the Gators (10-2 7-1 SEC) to their fewest points in the series’ 60-game history. Dalvin Cook rushed for 183 yards and two touchdowns, and Sean Maguire threw for 160 yards (14-28) and a touchdown.

#3 Oklahoma defeated #11 Oklahoma State, 58-23
Baker Mayfield threw two touchdown passes and ran for another score as the Sooners (11-1, 8-1 Big 12) defeated the Cowboys (10-2, 7-2 Big 12) in the unofficial Big 12 title game. Joe Mixon ran for 136 yards and two touchdowns, Samaje Perine had 131 yards and two scores, and Jordan Thomas intercepted two passes and returned one for a touchdown as Oklahoma claimed their third win over a ranked opponent in the past three weeks.
