In the thirteenth week of the college football season, members of the Florida Citrus Sports Team Selection Committee are making visits throughout ACC and Big 12 country, meeting with fans across both conferences in advance of the Russell Athletic Bowl on December 29th.
#7 Baylor at #19 TCU – Friday at 7:30 p.m. on ESPN
The Bears (9-1, 6-1 Big 12) lead the NCAA with 644.1 yards per game and 53.8 points per contest. On the other side of the ball, the Horned Frogs (9-2, 6-2 Big 12) have held their opponents to 26.5 points/game and rank first in the NCAA limiting their opponents to a 28 percent third-down conversion rate.
#13 Florida State at #12 Florida – 7:30 p.m. on ESPN
The Seminoles (9-2, 6-2 ACC) have a 4-1 record against the Gators (10-1 7-1 SEC) under the helm of Jimbo Fisher. A win would mark their third-straight in Gainesville, a feat never accomplished in program history.
#2 Oklahoma at #11 Oklahoma State – 8:00 p.m. on ABC
For only the third time in the history of their storied rivalry, the Sooners (10-1, 7-1 Big 12) and Cowboys (10-1, 7-1 Big 12) will meet up for an AP Top-10 matchup (2011, 1984). Oklahoma is the only FBS program to rack up 13 seasons of double-digit victories since 2000, while Oklahoma State is 10-1 after 11 games for the fourth time in the last six seasons.
Miami at Pittsburgh – Friday at 12:00 p.m. on ESPN2
The Panthers (8-3, 6-1 ACC) look to elevate their postseason prospects with their ninth win of the season, something they haven’t achieved since 2009. The Hurricanes (7-4, 4-3 ACC) have won three of their last four games, and are averaging nearly 284 yards/game in the air.
